 TECHNICAL DRAWING (SS 2)  MIDTERM ASSIGNMENT

(On an A3 size drawing paper answer the following question)


1. Using appropriate Principles of Tangency as taught in SS1 construct the figure as shown                 below. 
    (Note: Where it is written R55 use R25)

2. Construct two circles of R30 and divide them into 8 and 12 equal parts respectively. 

3. Watch the video below and answer the question that follows.


Use the given dimensions at the beginning of the video to construct. entirely, what you have watched.

 MECHANICAL DRAWING. In technical drawing, mechanical drawing is an optional question in WASSCE AND NECO SSCE.  Mechanical drawing has to do with proper understanding of orthographic Projection, isometric insight view of the object as presented in 2 Dimension, sectional views of objects in 2 dimensions, Screws, lock devices and fasteners and assembly of objects.  Most often WAEC will give a brief of how to assemble the given mechanical tool while NECO in most cases does not give a brief. Therefore, it is important that the student learn and practice more on mechanical drawing before attempting it.  TECHNICAL DRAWING (SS 1)  MIDTERM ASSIGNMENT (On an A3 size drawing sheet answer the following questions) 1.  Construct an inclined line of any convenient angle of length 125mm and divide into 10 equal parts. 2. Construct a line AB of length 85mm and bisect at point C. 3. Construct parallel lines of 50mm length with equal distance of 30mm. 4. Construct a triangle XYZ of length XY=YZ=XZ = 60mm. Use XY as the base. What is the name of the triangle you have constructed. 5. Construct a triangle ABC of  lengths AB as the base =75mm, BC= 65mm and AC=65mm.      Measure angles ABC and CAB. What type of  triangle is ABC.
